Opened, poured, and drank over a couple of days. Day 1: Initial color looked like a traditional Burgundy -- light red which you can almost see through. A bit of strawberry patch and earthy, but wasn't giving a whole lot to cheer about. 87 pts. Day 2: The wine has picked up some darker colors, weight and depth of flavors -- ripe strawberries, cherry, vanilla, oak. 90 pts. Day 3: Similar as Day 2 but much more integrated and sweeter. 92 pts. Only bottle won from a fantasy football league. I recommend a decant the next time.

This probably still has time, but it was really outstanding with a rich mushroom risotto. I am thinking I like Rosella's vineyard fruit better than Gary's from Miner.

Some asparagus and celery on the nose, but note off-putting. Grapefruit acidity typical of Rosella's. Red cherry fruit. Nice, but a hair out of balance for me. Is it the acidity?

Cherry/raspberry tart red fruit, on the darker side. Still a bit of dark chocolate in the wings. Good acidity, as one would expect from Rosella's. Not much complexity, but this drank real easy tonite with a grilled mushroom and bacon burger. This may shed some of its fat over the next couple of years, so I'll hold on to my last bottle a little longer.

(Miner Family Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard) Pale red color; entrancing, rich, ripe cherry, framboise and brown sugar nose; concentrated cherry, tart red fruit and chocolate palate; needs time, but has good focus; medium-plus finish 91+ pts.

We were very surprised how good this tasted giving the drining window ended in 2011. Plenty of dried fruit and spice. Guess we like Old Pinot's.
