  • Foggy bright red. Initially the nose is heavy alcohol, some smoky cherry. Minty notes arrived after some air time. Medium bodied wine. Tart on the finish. After some time my husband got plum, mint and sage. I did get a touch of mint.

  • This deep ruby, 70/30 blend of Grenache and Syrah was Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over 2-3 hours. After 60-90 minutes in decanter, it unleashes aromas of smoky black cherries, boysenberrries, lavender and garrigue. Medium-to-full-bodied, fresh and with light sweet tannins, it delivers flavors in line with the nose, hides its 14% alcohol well and stays solid on the mid-palate. Although it is a bit truncated on the back end, this is an enjoyable Southern Rhone at an attractive price. Drink now-2024.
