  Deep purple in color with robust aromas of blackberry, black cherry and plum.
  
  On the palate, you experience a velvety medium body wine with lots of ripe dark fruit with hints of cola and baking spices. There is a pleasant sweetness to this wine but medium acidity keeps it in check. Medium tannins lend to long finish with a touch of lingering spices.
  
  To sum this wine up, if I had to pick a wine to make a PBJ sandwich with this would be the one.

  I was intrigued by the aging in bourbon barrels. This doesn't even get noticed and the overall wine is disappointing. There are better blends that don't play such marketing cards and deliver a more balanced taste.
  
  At $20+ a bottle I would not buy more.
