  • What a delightful young wine. Good example of Sangiovese. Light and refreshing on the palate with a nose filled with cherries and plum. Very easy drinking. I will come back to this wine when I need a break from heavier cabs. Also, very surprised this is from Texas. Would definitely buy more.

  • This is the flagship wine from McPherson. Grapes sourced in Texas High Planes AVA. Aged in French oak. Color is medium ruby with a slight orange tint. Nose has spice, tobacco, cherry, leather, earth. Palate agrees, with med acid and med tannin, long finish. Price at the teasting room (4.0 Cellers outside Fredericksburg) is $30. Really like this one.
