  What a delightful young wine. Good example of Sangiovese. Light and refreshing on the palate with a nose filled with cherries and plum. Very easy drinking. I will come back to this wine when I need a break from heavier cabs. Also, very surprised this is from Texas. Would definitely buy more.

  This is the flagship wine from McPherson. Grapes sourced in Texas High Planes AVA. Aged in French oak. Color is medium ruby with a slight orange tint. Nose has spice, tobacco, cherry, leather, earth. Palate agrees, with med acid and med tannin, long finish. Price at the teasting room (4.0 Cellers outside Fredericksburg) is $30. Really like this one.
