Pale ruby. Somewhat reserved nose of barely ripe strawberries and cherries, along with anise and vanilla. Soft, silky tannins and bright acidity support more ripened berry and cherry flavors with hints of allspice. The fresh and elegant finish sustains lingering fruit tastes. Although sourced primarily from Monterey County, California, this wine is dry, somewhat delicate, and certainly not a “sweet fruit bomb.” It easily could be mistaken for an Oregon Pinot, perhaps due in part to the vintner’s selection of grapes from cool climate vineyards.

PNP,d Blood red, lush, structured, med + bodied, cola, slightly drying tannins, very good thru the finish. I had my last one appx 1 year ago, this has really solidified since then. A rebuy. Drink now thru 2024-5

10 months aged, 25% new, 100% French. Full and rounded fruit and a bit reduced. Or maybe just a bit of brett in it.
