Light yellow colour. Now already slightly matured, aromas of sweet grapefruit and a herbaceous minerality seduce. On the palate with fine spice, peaches and a precise acidity that lasts long and makes you want to take the next sip. Great drinking flow.

From 75cl, pristine cork, opened but not decanted 1 hour. This reminds me of the "CHARTA" Rheingau wines of the early 1990s: bone dry, very strongly acidic (bright, zingy, not-quite ripe lemon); thin-to-bony (this "look" can be attractive, but is it healthy?) and razor-sharp-clean-"mineral" texture with not a gram of fat, glycerine or fruit-smoothness. Excellent wine in small quantities, but more mature or sensitive tasters would be well advised to keep their antacids close to hand. 88-89P

Appearance: pale lemon. Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of lemon, Granny Smith apple, toast, honeysuckle. Developing. Palate: dry with a little residue sugar, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus flavour intensity, medium plus finish with lovely creamy note. Refreshing and great balance. It’s the kind of wine that I can keep sipping and not realising it’s gone!

This is all about freshness and vivacity. The nose has understated notes of tangerine and grapefruit. Zesty lemon on a medium bodied palate dominated by a tingling acidity.

Bibendum Portfolio Tasting 2019: Lemon and white florals on the nose. Fruit sweetness but otherwise quite light on intensity. Mid length to this. Not great value on this showing.
