From 75cl, acceptable cork. Dilute, softish, slightly sour-lemon dry Riesling, with a big hole in the mid-palate and a bitter touch on the finish. Not recommended. 85P

A young riesling, maybe too young now. Pear & citrus on the nose. Quite light green in color. At first there is some melon and apricot combined with pear & lemon. The melon and apricot wears off almost immediately. Pear lingers a little longer. Short and not very complex. A lighter more elegant style. The tzatziki we had to our salad didn’t combine well with the wine.

Same impression as the other day. If you have had the spätlese or kabinett this wine comes across as bitter (which is expected considering it is dry and the others have high rest sugar levels) but somehow I think you also get an idea of what Zilliken is about. However their style simply is more suited to a kabinett or spätlese.
