The nose is slow to open and shows whiffs of anise and strawberry shortcake. Festive spicecake throughout, and it stays true to the style in terms of the notes it offers. Focused and maintains the same plane. What I'm most pleased with is the level of fruit to match the structure, indicating it won't become brittle with significant age. It won't grow into anything spectacular, but it is a tasty Barolo. Paired with beef stew.
