  We decanted this for 90 minutes before drinking, which wasn't quite enough, as the acidity was high enough at this point to make it seem a bit tart. After another hour, though, the acidity had calmed down, to reveal a delightful Rioja, with flavors and aromas of black cherry and orange, along with intense magnolia-like florality. It finished with a long, lingering aftertaste of dried apricot.
  
  I can't believe I only bought one bottle of this. Considering its modest tariff of $19, I should have grabbed every bottle in the store.

  Awesome perfume on the nose, Christmas spices with a little oak. Medium bodied Rioja on the palate with a bit more cedar and some nice red fruits. Excellent tapas pairing.
