  • Tasted blind in VV.

Luminous, moderately translucent ruby red color with a subtly blueish hue. Somewhat restrained and unassuming nose of ripe dark berries and a hint of minty character. Very little of anything going on here. The wine is ripe, soft and mellow on the palate with moderately full body and jammy-sweet flavors of blackberry jam, some blackcurrant marmalade, a hint of juicy boysenberries and a touch of peppery spice. The wine is medium-to-moderate in acidity and there are no tannins to speak of. The finish is soft and mellow with quite brief, jammy flavors of blackberry jam, overripe blackcurrants, a little bit of plummy fruit and a hint of peppery spice.

A very soft, mellow and unobtrusive red with no character to speak of. Suitable for people who like the fruit in their wine sugar-coated without any sense of structure from acidity or tannins. A forgettable, inexpensive fruit bomb and a poor purchase at 9,99€.
