  Very big and rich, bags of licorice and black fruit conceal the high alcohol. Drinking perfectly now, great with ribeye.

  Deep purplish ruby, with high extraction. Pronounced nose, with rosy and ripe black cherry and cassis aromas, even somewhat candied, as well as mint, coffee, chocolate, and liquorice. Full-bodied, high alcohol, full of tannins but soft, and intensely flavoured of overripe, nearly raisinned cassis and blackberry, and pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and some vanilla and chocolate at the back. Very long finish of cooking spices and chocolate. Great wine!

  Revisiting after 1.5 years later. At an optimal drinking window now. Mellowed with liquorice, black fruits prominent, particularly black cherries. Very alcoholic! 15.5%
  The high alcohol is balanced by the bright fruitiness & a nice structural core .

  Substantial black fruits, licorice, lavender, violets, definitely oz-centric, but with some clear nods to the Rhone.
