14.5% alcohol, not a great start for a white wine. The cork is probably the shortest that I have ever encountered (4.5 cm), but it is good and dense. Pale golden colour. The nose is the best part, with a rich feel and yellow flower aromas reminiscent of Chenin. Unfortunately, the mouth is marred (for me) by an overwhelming bitter vegetal taste (tannic-like) which dominates at all stages, especially the back end (even more so with time in the glass). Being new to Vermentino and to Sardegna wines, as well as to this particular producer, I have no idea how to apportion the responsibility for the origin of this taste. I am sorry to say (especially as this was a gift) that this kind of flavour profile is not for me. This wine seems to sell between 10€ and 16€; the top of the range seems excessive to me. Thank you to the donor, who likes to challenge me with wines that fall outside of my comfort zone.

Wow this one blew me away. No formal notes but pronounced aromas of peaches, apricots, lemon zest, cocked apples , full bodied, deep golden colour, fantastic colour, sweet and flavoursome on the palate ,good intensity and despite the 14,5 alcohol percentage was very easy to drink. Long finish. Wonderful
