Had the 2016 Saint Aubin Dents de Chien and the 2016 Puligny Tremblots side by side. Both show a touch of reduction on opening. The Saint Aubin is more mineral and more chiseled with white fruit, while the Puligny is a bit more round and has some slight tropical notes. Both very good, though my preference is probably for the Saint Aubin as it’s a bit more complex and I see more upside there as well.

Magnums Dinner (Friend's Place, Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong): Served blind from magnum. Very light white gold colour. Nose is oak-forward, lots of minerals in the flint end of the spectrum, some malo. Palate is very flinty and immediately big in the mouth, saline, fresh, some torched lemon skins, bit hollow in the middle, almost filtered? Lean and tensile. Quite sharp on the back end. Is young. Guessing Meursault in a new generation producer? Plot is just below Batard Montrachet. I'd like to try again in 2-3 years.

Un beau Puligny, très droit, avec des saveurs franches de fruits blancs, fin, élégant et avec une belle tension et un peu de volume. 90-91

Pretty nose of white tropical fruit and wet stones on the nose, clean and crisp palate with a really fresh texture and a medium finish
