Deep garnet with some ruby hues. A little green on the nose to start with some chili. Opened up with some a little floral, chalk, damp forest floor and some leaves. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Layers on the palate of cassis, black currants, cigar box, a little earthiness and vegetal. Long finish. Seems a touch older than an 1999. Drink till 2018.

Dark garnet color. Nose is fairly expressive and rich with a little oak, earthy herbaceous bramble, plum, blackberry and chocolate. Initially on the palate the herbaceous notes are strong but blend in more with some air. Otherwise, there is a nice rich mouth feel and lots of jammy plum and blackberry but not overdone. The finish was moderately long with blackberry and chocolate at the end. Very enjoyable!

Very complex. Totally unlike a normal California Cab. Very rich and powerful tanins, sharp notes. Decanted for 4 hours, it needed the air. I'd recommend with cheese vs dinner.

Green pepper and chili on the nose - I have never had chili like this on the nose.
I though this was at least 10 years older. This surprised me
Tomato, tea and tobacco on the nose.

First hour this was horrible. Opened up over the next hour and drank very well. Especially for $16 on clearance.
