  • A spicy and rich wine. Complex and layered, sappy and powerful. Classic Bâtard that has concentration, build and depth. Unfurls nicely in the glass.

  • Sushi Katori: My contribution. Pop and pour, it was showing beautifully with snow pears, meyer lemons, white flowers, peanut skin and sudachi zest. Palate showed a fistful of batard power and density that coupled with crisp acidity culminated in a pretty balanced finish. Great fruit concentration and texture but shut down a little over time in glass. By the end of lunch, one could sense great underlying potential but perhaps crimes of infanticide were committed again - lovely to check in on this one today and will open my next bottle from 2035 onwards
