Decanted for 15 minutes which resulted in a bottle a bit better than our bottle a few months ago (7/6/22), with the acidity more balanced and the fruit a bit darker.

PnP but continued to open during dinner - better with about 20 minutes of air. Clear medium ruby in the glass. Aromas of red fruit, earth and some spice. All of these are found on the medium bodied palate with the earth, spice, and juicy acidity a bit dominant over the red (cherry and cranberry) fruit. Will decant the next bottle as this bottle improved with air. Should hold for several years.

Not quite as good as I remember today. This bottle leaned toward sharp cranberry and rhubarb flavors with a bit too much acidity and it was also a little thin. I’ll chalk it up to an off bottle because the others I’ve had were much better.

Flickinger Customer Appreciation Tasting (Casino Club - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Bright red cherry with good combination of fat and tart fruit and savory spice. Good length. Good now. Entirely from Platt (even though there is also a Platt Vineyard designate bottling).

Rich with a long finish and crisp acidity, this wine exhibits cranberry, plum and cherry fruit flavors, wrapped in an ultra-smooth profile with savory overtones. Great with food (salmon) and just as great on its own this is a really wonderful, friendly Pinot with plenty of life ahead.
