  • Mainly Courbu with a little bit of Petit Manseng in the blend. Fermented and aged for 12 months in stainless steel. 14% alcohol.

Concentrated lemon yellow color with a hint of youthful green. Sweet, fragrant and quite fruity nose with aromas of peach, some apple juice, a little bit of hay and a hint of cloudberry. The wine is oily, moderately full-bodied and quite complex on the palate with flavors of hay, earthy spices and some developed nutty almond character, a little bit of stony minerality, light honeyed tones, sweet hints of overripe apples and cantaloupe and a touch of cumin. The rather high acidity lends good balanced to the wine and makes it appear rather structured. The finish is long, spicy and complex with flavors of slivered almonds, herbal lavender tones, some sweet notes of cantaloupe, a little bit of peachy stone fruits, a hint of herbal bitterness and a touch of earthy spices.

A rich yet pretty savory and not particularly heavy with quite distinctive, unique character - probably a combination of a cultivar I'm not that familiar with and some bottle age. Quite enjoyable with good sense of balance and a lot of nuance. Probably might develop even further, but doesn't really call for further aging. Enjoyable, great value at 10€.
