  • This wine came in a neat wood, four bottle Bordeaux display case from Costco. The effective price is $8 per bottle. The bottles, wooden case and labels have to be fifty percent of the cost? My bottle had a Wine Enthusiast tag that they gave it 92 points. That does note bode well for WE’s credibility. But if you consider the points and the QPR, maybe they are right. Think about the horrible CA wines at the grocery that cost $8 and taste like they were made by a chemist who prefers to drink Pepsi. This taste like a structured, albeit simple, French wine. There is no flaw, no overt fruitiness or fake oak. At this price point oak chips/staves probably would be out of the budget. If you like restraint, French, with a bit of crunch you should be able to choke it down.........

Oh, and this also has a gold medal from the concours de Bordeaux 2017

  • Very light average table Bordeaux. Small glass at lunch immediately after decanting was good but not much character. Very light, not complex but no bitter afternotes. My initial thought was this is a good pop and pour delicate afternoon wine but we were 5 hrs out from dinner and by that time there was a noticeable bite in the finish. Definitely consume within 1st couple of hours after opening. Was not expecting it to be so light but again there’s very little depth and an almost nonexistent finish.

  • Tried this in December 2021. A little bit of rim on the glass. Typical dark purple colour. Nose of plum, oak, a little bit earthy taste. Smooth tannin. Full body. Rich oak flavour. Quite complex. Very strong after taste. Amazing value for the price.

  • I'm not going to waste my time writing a full review. I can't even really say my bottle was flawed, there was no VA, no corked, or anything. But it was just horrific. Chalky mouthfeel, unbalanced. The finish was short. I wish it was even shorter so I could get this out of my mouth.
