This did exactly what Gamay is supposed to do. Incite conversation, pair harmoniously and unobtrusively with Oregon summer cuisine (Paella block party) and induce a smile. And the format delivered in spades.

Generally, I am not excited about Gamay. This was an exception, and a joy to drink with mixed grill barbecue on the deck with friends on a beautiful Oregon summer evening.

I was fortunate to get one more bottle from Erica while tasting at WS a couple days ago. I wanted the bottle to pair with baby back ribs later that day. The wine was once again quite delightful and the pairing was spot on. (maybe due in part to the local sourced, cranberry bbq sauce). A fun wine that seems pretty darn food friendly as well!

Really nice gamay and I say a dead ringer for Beaujolais - maybe not cru level, but high quality village perhaps? Tough call. Might benefit from some time in bottle. Drank with pork tenderloin and it was a great pairing. Fresh, fruity and good acidity. A pleasant wine, for sure.

Lightness, freshness and fruit of a cru Beaujolais, with the delicateness and finesse of a fine pinot. Great now.
