Rockss and Fruit

(Ganevat Chardonnay ((Cotes de Jura, Jura, France)) Interesting wine. The first day this was marked by new oak and intense minerality along with great acid for an '03 white from France. Over the next few days the oak became more prominent but the minerality integrated beautifully into the oak. The palate is creamy and rich but with proper balancing acidity. It is definetly over-oaked but I still like and admire the wine for it's purity and minerality along with great length. Also this stayed alive for three days in my cave. Pretty impressive for Jura Chardonnay. This was not in an oxidized style either.
