Nice enough but a little too much oak. Probably would be much better if decanted or left open a while though even the second day wasn't a lot better. May well be better in a few years?

Full bodied, a bit brusque and a little too much oak for me but better as it was open. Very good with burgers, other flavorful foods. Probably needs to be decanted

Full bodied, nice rich/full nose with some complexity but palate is marred by too much oak on the finish. Without that, it would be quite impressive. Didn't blow off, even on the second day

PnP and got hit by a ton of oak, both on the nose and the palate. Perhaps needs to be open a long time or decant. But 2nd day wasn't much better. There are good underlying bones here: red fruit, a bit of leather, etc. But totally overwhelmed by the oak.

This is a wonderful Bordeaux blend from California.
Showing blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked strawberries, spices, pencil lead, oak, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, chocolates, light vegetables, pencil lead, light wet leaves, peppercorn, leather and earth.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, so be patient with it.
Very tasty now, and will age nicely in the next 5 years. Feels like a Left Bank Bordeaux.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
