  I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about this wine given the price point, but I was wowed.
  
  Opulent, terrific depth, creamy tannins and sublime fruit concentration. This wine appears glossy in the decanter and the glass. Smooth, silky, tongue enrobing power. The midpalate is really where this wine shines.
  
  In my view, just a hair more oak is present than needed, and that tiny, tiny gripe holds it back from a perfect 100. I expect a few years in the cellar may resolve that minor issue.
  
  I gave it a 12 hour decant (in the cellar) and took it out at 55 degrees. Progressively better as it warmed toward room temp of 70.
  
  I don't give a 99 lightly. I just recently switched to cellar tracker from vinfolio. Out of hundreds of tasting notes over the years, I've given less than six scores of 99 or 100. This is special juice.
