Another Southern British Columbia Cabernet...... On nose: green pepper and vanilla/ oak. On palate: the oak is prominent, but not persistent , after a 3 hour decant , however, a broad panoply of flavours expand : dark chocolate, more pepper, cassis, pipe tobacco, fennel, minerals, and a ghost of eucalyptus, displayed on a full , but well balanced New World style.....48% Cabernet, with a civilized 13.9% alcohol...at 6 years of age ready to drink , but can age a bit....went well with Pork Tenderloin , roast potatoes and braised red cabbage tonight.

Surprisingly thin for a Cab Sauv dominate blend. Raspberry, cocoa and tar notes. Lacks structure. Day 2 didn’t help its cause.
