Brought by one of our guests as their contribution to our gathering. I love Chablis but am generally averse to most any oaked chardonnay, whether new world or old world. So, as the host, I was not looking forward to trying this and then was downright dreading it after one of my brothers took one sip and quietly asked me to pour it out because he couldn't stand it. Surprisingly, I thought it was decent. Not particularly expressive on the nose or palate but also not a fruit bomb and definitely not over-oaked. Would not run out to buy it but, again, I'm not a fan of oaked chardonney, so your experience may vary.

85 is the top end of "good" and that is being generous. We love Monterey County Chard, but the Hahn entry level Chard is a better choice for low end/entry level Cali chards. It was fairly unremarkable and a bit too much on the sweet side for a higher rating, but there were no obvious defects. Definitely varietally correct which is always a ++. Much better choices with entry level Washington state Chards for less $$$.

Nice middle of the road Chardonnay. Creamy with a bit of oak influences. Would buy again.
