Deep ruby red, almost opaque, with red brim. Rich and pleasant nose with notes of plums, black currants, mulberries, coffee and a touch of tobacco and pencil shave. Mouthfeel is elegant (12,5 % alc!), medium bodied, still quite youthful, with very well integrated tannins, nice acidity and notes of black currants, plums, mulberries and a touch of coffee and pencil shave.
Nicely developed Margaux from 100 % cabernet sauvigon (!) with only 12,5 % alcohol. This is elegant and fresh and will probably still just get even better!

Darkened brownish garnet, semi-transparent, clear but not as fresh as young wine, compact rim.
On the nose, this is old-schooled Medoc in every sense of the word. Cassis, blackberry, mushroom, earth, forest floor, smoke, pencil lead.
Palate is fine now with some traces of grippy tannin. At first, this appears thin and a little tarty. However, after an hour, it beefed up with midpalate dimension and lingering finish. Similar profile with the aromatics but finish off with nice Bordelaise standards.
Some may consider this wine a little hallow and under-ripe, especially considering the profile of the vintage. That may be because of lack of air. Give this one a solid one to two hours in the decanter. Textbook example of "wine needs time". Ready now. 91.

kühle Nase, Holz, Kakaopulver. Immense Struktur, lang, griffig, irgendwo brachial sogar, wenn man ihn mit dem tänzerischen 15er vergleicht. Der 10er ist für 20 Jahre plus gemacht.
