I remember when purchasing this I thought to myself “ is it Marsanne or Roussanne that I prefer?”. It was Roussanne. This may be a finesse wine which is fine but the nuance is lost on me. Too light to go with food, by itself it is so fine and delicate that you have to study it intensely to see what’s there. I have one bottle left that I’ll consume by end of year or hopefully by end of summer.
Update: day 2, splash leftover, room temp. Drinking much better. Also I thought about this too when consuming last night. This needs to be consumed closer to room temp to coax out the flavors.

A very good wine, but just lacking in mid-palate and overall a bit thin with a modest finish. Pretty, subtle aromatics, some floral and honey tones. I'd rated this higher previously which in part represented hoped for potential, but also indicating that this may be faded / past peak. Like all Tablas's wines, well made, high quality, and attractive. This would make a nice patio wine and would also pair well with a green salad.

Drank this over 3 days hoping for an epiphany. It didn’t happen. Delicate flavors, hint of cantelope. Bottle I had about year ago was similar. I’m not looking for brute force but too subtle for me.

Still tasty but somewhat flat needing more crisp acidity. Still pleasant wine well chilled.

No notes, but this is drinking really well right now and held up over three nights. Elegant and a bit understated, but pretty.
