Last bottle of this beautiful Chardonnay. Definitely peak or past peak for my liking as its gone from a more mineral driven Chardonnay, to oak influenced, darker more viscous style. Still pleasant, but more in your face than previous bottles.
I cannot find this winery listed anywhere and no updates on Social Media pages either. I hope they did not close up shop.

Deep, clear lemon color. As some have noted, there is an initial “skunkiness” in the aromatic profile, which I’m guessing is slight “reduction”, most likely from barrel fermentation. I’ve found that 30 mins in a chilling decanter will help most of that blow off. Archetypical, “big”, “in your face” California style Chardonnay, with richness and complexity. Seems to be fully mature with tertiary, and secondary flavors leading: rich butterscotch; spicy, apple cobbler; lemon cream; poached pear, orange melon creamsicle; buttered toast, cream cheese, oak spice; and a hint of sour minerality on the backend. There’s an acidic core which balances the rich fruits and sets up a medium plus finish. Reminiscent of a high quality Village level Meursault with a California twist. Drink now, but most likely will drink well through 2022.

First bottle was corked. This bottle was not flawed. Big acidic coastal Chardonnay with developing characteristics every day. I note white stone fruit, flowers and a hint of butterscotch, but well integrated and more on the finish than primary notes. I am on day three and still holding up really well.
I would think another two more days before it loses its edge.
Have one more bottle I will hold for another year or so.

Ripe orchard fruit with good weight, good enough balance and freshness, maybe just a bit too fleshy. This was a very good value wine.
