  • Pale but bright gold. Oily, petrol and honeysuckle aromas, with a little orange and apricot. Sweet tropical fruits to taste, including mango, and honeyed peaches. Fairly simple and generic, but good with strongly-favouted/thickly-sauced Malaysian food.

  • Tasted blind in VV.

Pale, almost neutral grassy green color. Somewhat aromatic but also a bit stuffy nose with aromas of yellow stone fruits, some aromatic chopped herbs, a little bit of juicy apple and a hint of petrol. The wine is lively, medium-bodied and quite acid-driven on the palate with somewhat oily mouthfeel and straightforward flavors of tangy green apples and ripe lemony fruit. The high acidity lends good sense of structure to the wine. The finish is somewhat short with one-dimensional flavors of tart green apples and lemon; only the acidity carries on as the brief flavors fade away.

A very simple and generic everyday Riesling that shows very straightforward fruit character lacking in depth and complexity. Only the nose shows some depth and varietal character, but it is lacking freshness instead, coming across as somewhat stuffy and dull. Although not a bad wine in any way, this is still an unimpressive effort overall - there's a lot better wines to be had at 9,99€.
