Tasted as part of the Brunello Tasting at rRberto's Ristorante. Had more complexity than the preceding 2018 Brunello. Tasted completely dry, with noticeable tannins and a bit of austerity thrown in. Still: to my taste not very complex which may be due to the rather elevated temperature at which it was served, and overpriced at $ 125/ bottle.

Drank 4-8 hours after opening. Fine tannins, but incredibly tannic. Good acidity but a bit hard to read. Unsure that the acidity will keep up with the tannins over the years. Lots of floral notes with some characteristic dark tart cherry, but not quite as much fruit as you would expect so young. Silky already with a long finish. Excited to see the figs and candy cherry shine in a decade. Wont open another until 2030.

Brick red pale around the edges. Thick cherry aromas, licorice, some earth and smoked meats. Cherry cola and butter cocoa on the palate. Medium tannins, long finish

Beautiful color and fresh herbaceous nose with sour cherry, bright tannins and strong finish. Needs time to open up and was much more fun on day 2
