  Medium red. Gorgeous nose of mostly rich, ripe blueberries, with some tobacco, a little pepper, and distant red fruits. Notes of blueberry, astringent red fruits, distant tobacco and black pepper. Solid tannins and balancing acids. This wine has a long, delicious finish that most resembles blueberry skins. It may be a couple of years past its ideal drinking time, but it is still an excellent syrah, one that reminds me a bit of more than a few Cornas wines I have tried.
