  Deep ruby, full bodied and particular heavy in the tongue. Hints of licorice and floral notes on the nose followed by licorice, black berry flavors, and peppery spices. Very strong tanners that grip the back of your throat as part of a long finish. Definitely needs a couple hours of decanting to open up. Drank on its own but would pair well with poultry, dark meats, and heavier sauces. 14.5% ABV. 89 pts.
