  • Begins with a little bit of funk on the nose, which blows off after about 30 minutes to reveal dark cherry and forest floor aromas. On the palate, dark sour cherry, rhubarb, and carmel flavors undergirded by a bracing acidity. Finishes rather medicinally. I really don't think the age has improved this wine. In fact, I think it's slightly past its peak and starting to make its way towards its slow inevitable decline. Drink up if you have it.
