  • PNP followed over the night. Crystals in the next let me know this is Briceland. Red fruit cranberry baking spice and orange peel. Lovely as always.

  • So this got extended decanting, but not by design. I popped yesterday thinking a glass might have went with dinner, then I decided I wasn't in the mood for wine so it got the Vacu Vin treatment. Now, 24 hours later bottle decant, and 18 holes of golf later, no food today later, I am ready to devour this with dinner. And, its going with a finger food dinner, house made pigs in a blanket and potato croquettes. The wine is pretty opaque but looks like it shouldn't be, kinda has a hazy ruby glow in the glass with light yet can't see through. Swirls medium light. Nose is soft cherry, more pie based but not jammy. The more tart country pie style. Some wafting notes of sweet vanilla and an earthiness underneath. Not a dense forest floor, more your walking through a cartoonish hollow like the seven dwarfs for what that's worth. Its been a day and feels elegant but with a kick. The fruit is softer cherry, welcoming and not in your face. The acidity and tartness provide a nice kick up, soft in tannin, and holds form in texture to complement the fruit. Not the longest finish however satisfying with the fruit leading, some twizzler down the stretch, and then a last blast of tart and acid. Nice wine, rare I let things decant like this blind and I enjoyed it. I have a few more and look forward to them.

  • Needs at least an hour of air. Then lively red fruit followed by citrus. Nice acidity here. Interestingly, I just finished the last 9 ounces from a bottle that was Coravin'd and spent the last 3 weeks in the fridge. Still delicious.

  • My bad on this one. This got stuck with a bunch of empties and sat in a sunny window for months. It was surprisingly good, with light colored red fruit. It had a little heat damage.

  • Pnp, needed an hour to blow off. Then this blossomed. Cherry and other red fruit. Baking spice. Wet wood. 12.3%
