Met the charming owner at a tasting in Bellingham and was kind of blown away to encounter such interesting pinots from a winery I hadn't heard of before. The owner, a grower before he became a winemaker, bought this vineyard's first cutting from David Lett (Eyrie) 40 years ago! Anyway, excellent pinot, elegant but a also a little rustic at the same time in every good way I can mean that. Not slick and modern, but old school and full of character.
