Agree w flavor descriptions of more recent notes. One of the better Patz vineyards. Red fruit. Not a fruit bomb. Balanced. Did not get excessive heat, maybe has mellowed. In a great place at the moment.

Pale ruby colored. Lots of fresh red berry notes in the nose. On the palate fresh strawberries, raspberries, som red cherries, soft minty and soft vanilla notes. Medium (-) bodied with a medium (+) acidity. Silky tannins, nicely integrated. Good complexity and a nice fruit structure. Not a super complex Pinot Noir, but very refreshing and enjoyable. Alcohol is a bit too hot. Overall balance is very good. The finish is refreshing and medium long. This is in a beautiful spot in the moment. For sure, it can age some more years, but it’s not made for eternity. Drink now until 2029. (IG)

We are big fans of Patz & Hall Pinot, but after the 2015 and 2016 vintage of the Moses-Hall, not so much of this vineyard. This was a touch better than the 2015, but still monolithic and alcoholic, though with more interesting fruit flavor. It needed two hours to mellow out. Used the New World Pinot glass. After a night in the fridg, corked, there wasn't much change and it was still drinkable. In the end, we did enjoy it, just wasn't up to the high standard we've come to expect from P&H.

Decanted for 30 minutes. More muted than other Patz & Hall pinots. Pleasant, but not memorable.

Mulled cherry, cedar, and layers of macerated strawberry. Very aromatic and an excellent mouth feel.
