- Garnet color - Had this right after the 2004. More balance, plum and berry fruit flavors are well- blended. Slight effervescence and slightly hot on the finish.

Enjoyable wine with pasta and bolognese sauce. Hard to tell exactly that this was sangiovese, as it differs so much from what one finds in Italy. Fruit is still very nice, good acidity, notes of cherry and other red fruits. Medium to almost full bodied. Would recommend as an easy going, every day wine.

Tasted along with 10 bottles in a wine group Sangiovese tasting. This one WON by overwhelming vote. beat several from Italy, including a Brunello Di Montelcino
