Taste North Canterbury 2018 (Christchurch, New Zealand): North Canterbury has been making some smashing Pinot Noir for a while now, this 2011 from Torlesse is a good example of the trajectory they can go on; now at seven years old there's some tertiary cedar, tobacco and leather notes starting to develop over the cranberry and red fruits, with notes of raisins and leaf litter.
