  • This could easily be mistaken for a very high level Sancerre with age on it. Very intensely flavored, with ripe grapefruit, lemon and white peach, all with a bit of a dried character, likely due to the bit of age. You also get big doses of chalky mineral notes, intense salinity and bits of ginger and sweet baking spice. Such a complete and complex wine that really defies what I would typically expect from Rias Baixas, more broadly. Hugely acidic, with a good deal of extract, so I think this has capacity to age a bit like a dry Riesling. Just a fantastic wine.

  • I don't think that it's a mistake that this is bottled in a Riesling flute. There's an intensity and concentration of flavor, along with ripping acidity, that really make this drink like a citrus heavy GG Riesling. This doesn't have as much of the white peach notes, through the mid palate, that I normally associate with Albariño, but this has just about every sort of citrus note that you could imagine, although the flavors generally lean a little green. Also, there are pronounced mineral notes from front to back. Although drinkable now, this is still quite young and is made in a way that makes me question my assumptions about Rias Baixas wines. This is as good of an Albariño as I've ever had.

  • Limited notes - thought it pretty good. Salty orchard fruit, lemon candy.

  • Had with some Maine crab and shrimp and it paired wonderfully nose of wet briny stone fruits, and an nice mix of yellow and green apple, medium plus acidity on the palate with a little saline kick and a medium finish

  • Clear, medium intense straw yellow, watery rim.

Nose is clean, medium intense aromas of chalk, lime, greene apples, yellow plums and maybe some peach

Palate is dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ body and flavour intensity with aromas of lime, apples, yellow plums, high dry extract and very mineralic, long finish

Very well balanced, long finish with high acidity and quite weighty for a alvarinho, intense acidity, high concentration and medium+ complexity. Very good quality with long potensial for agening, 90p+
