  • Wonderful balance. Racy yet ripe fruit. Can’t put it down. Excellent value. Reminds of a top of the line Macon even a fine Chablis. Big fan of Madson after consuming their other current releases of Santa Cruz Mountains Syrah and Pinot Noir. After trying out this Los Altos hills Chardonnay I’m very curious to taste their higher end Chardonnay from a vineyard in my old stomping grounds of Boulder Creek. Keep up the great work!

  • Smells of sweet apple skin, ripe pear and raw cookie dough with wet cement, green tea, hints of caraway seed and nail polish. It hits the mouth with a riot of tart green apple, rhubarb, star fruit, cantaloupe close to the rind and under ripe pineapple with river rock, white flowers, waxy honeycomb and a sweet, tart lime finish.

Very light on its feet with firm acid and forward fruit, like very young Chablis but from a fairly ripe vintage, I think it needs a little time to let the fruit relax and let go of some of its sharp edges.

  • A pleasant and interesting Santa Cruz Mountain Chard. Refreshing at 12.9% abv with a pleasing balance of acidity, fruit, and soil. Lightly reductive (I think) but it wears it well. Very good price/quality ratio. Wish these guys luck!
