Surprisingly medium+ in body, not the massive bomb the merlots typically are. Considerable oak but it wears it well. Not for the ultra traditional palate but that’s not necessarily a criticism. Nice zip / acidity and not overly tannic. Will probably be pretty special in 10-15 years. Not a crime or a shame to open today if you give it a few hours in a decanter.

Misc wines at MGs place: Very powerful, young and intense. Lots of dark fruit and a huge acidity!! Almost have a liquor note to it but it never really goes over the top.
Exciting and interesting wine. It will certainly be a lot more fun with more age. 93p+
