2017 Bouchard and William Fevres (chicago, IL): The nose is balanced and straightforward with tones of pears, meyer lemons, apples, white fruits, hazelnuts, some toast, white flowers, and an underlying minerality. There is a lovely precision to the nose, but it really lacks depth and definition. The Medium bodied feel is elegant and balanced with racy, medium+ acidity. The acidity still has some sting and needs a few years to calm down.

Surprisingly, too much oak, almost a California style chardonnay.
But it may integrate and develop nicely in a few years …

Lots of spice and honey on the nose. Richness, depth on the palate. Crisp still youthful. A twinge more richness and nuttiness than I would expect.

2017 Bouchard Tasting (Phoenix, AZ USA): An “ok” wine in a lineup of disappointing white wines. Decent minerality but not much grip.
