Very, very young, yet still delicious. Powerful tannin, does have some nose already, but obviously quite tight. I think maybe even three years would be long enough to check in again.

(SYP) Small glass, blind. A profound nose features dark berry & plum, floral notes, spice and mineral. There's good concentration with chalky tannins. This one really needs time to come around. 90+

An elegant sculpture holding a piece of 50-grit sandpaper. This will take a lot of time to come into true drinking form, but should be glorious when it does. The material is there, but patience will be required. My early look was for purely reference purposes. Left half the bottle to check later this week.

2016's, no decant, both delicious.
Sottimano Barbaresco Basarin: more austere and tannic at first, but then opened up nicely to reveal pretty red/purple fruits take a slight edge.
Moccagatta Barbaresco Bric Balin: more oak on the nose, darker sweeter fruits right out of the gate.
