This wine is drinking very nicely now. Needs about an hour to open up though. Properly balanced, medium bodied with softened tannins and still good intensity of red fruit nicely integrated with some secondary notes. The last sip of the final glass (about 2h after opening the bottle) was the best.

Top notch Lirac from a producer who has a history of making top notch Lirac. Beautiful, dark ruby colour in the glass. Pretty dense and expressive on the nose, full of black, red and even some blueberry fruit along with crushed white pepper and a touch of garrigue and licorice. The palate is rich, medium to full-bodied and fleshy with plush fruit and grippy tannins. There is some power here and it feels quite youthful. I can only see this getting better in the coming years. Still some bottles available in Majestic (UK)
