Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Hm. At first, it was like, whoa, I'm super juicy. Then some secondary earth and neutral oak (?) flavors spoke up and rounded it out. There's a small percentage of chard in here too that's interplanted with the Pinot block, and I could swear I get a hint of that on the nose. I'd have pegged this for a cooler climate, old school Cali Pinot (ie a "village level" Joe Swan or ABC) before i ever guessed Willamette Valley. So very atypical, but worthy, and as the winemakers dial this a bit more to get a bit more concentration it could be something really unique indeed. The label art is already!
