  • Tasted blind. While watching F1 at Château Davyd.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose medium intensity, with aromas of earth, minty forest floor, meat, dark red cherry. Slight barnyard. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherry, meat, savoury earth, sweet spice, mint. Bitter earth medium+ finish.
Good quality, simple red Burg. I was guessing a masculine one, maybe an aged 10-12 year old Gevrey village.
    Time to drink up.
