Petite Verdot, from NOTL!!! I noticed some wine dripping through the wax cap in the cellar...which led to an opening much earlier than anticipated. Much to my surprise, the wine was in tact and actually seemed more aged than expected at this stage. Deep purple; beautiful deep black fruit aromas; super viscous in the glass which lines up with the alcohol content. Silky smooth, low-med tannin, with the blackberry and blueberry up front, as well chocolate. Love this style!

Clear deep ruby; clean medium plus nose of kirsch liquor, earth, savoury herbs, black licorice, barnyard and tar; dry; high acidity; medium tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate has fruit payoff with addition of dark chocolate and a touch of bandaid; long finish; drink now or in 5 years; even better than we remember and one of our favourites from the Raw series (along with the Syrah); would definitely buy more next time

3 days in Niagara; 1/4/2019-1/6/2019: Meaty, lifted floral notes, tomato and stems. Carries that same lifted feeling onto the palate, with a bright and vibrant acid profile. Good carry and length.
