On the nose, I appreciated red apple with apricot and melon notes, as well as nice floral and caramel overtones. In the mouth, a more generous meadow flavor dominated over the fruit and oak, with pleasant acidity. Body and finish are medium. Overall, a refreshing Oregon style chardonnay, that is bright and young for its age and should be drinkable for years.

I had This at a blind tasting against three other Chardonnays, a Sonoma coast and a meursault. Apple, lemon (almost curd ish but not quite). Some reductive notes that blew off. A grassy note that I find common in Oregon Chardonnay. This had way more life in it, it’s just getting to its drinking window imo. The meursault was on its last legs (also a 2016). Great Oregon Chardonnay.

No formal notes taken as I served this at dinner club alongside a Dungeness crab bisque, but this is a gorgeous OR Chardonnay. Light on its feet but still with enough richness to deliver alongside a rich soup. Stone fruit, citrus, and floral. Lovely.
