{screwcap, 13%} Slightly crimson garnet. Quite youthful nose, all fruit, of mulberries, blueberries, chocolate, liquorice. Voluptuous flavours of blueberry, liquorice, with low/medium acidity and lowish, gentle, mostly grape tannins. Plenty of flavour though, in that sunny, ripe Sicilian way. Some furry tannins linger on the palate, mid and front of the tongue; it’s medium/full in weight without being too hot or baked. Not really for aging, but fine with a hearty dish on a cool night.

Nice (not overly) ripe dark fruit, maybe a hint of spice? Acid and tannins are balanced nicely.

Very smooth and fruity, almost jammy IMO. Has to have rolled off the factory floor, right? Still tastes good...$34 at Barrows House, Dorset, VT.

Deep fruit but acidic - coppery on the finish.
