Delicious and similar to other good Givry in that it shows definite purity of fruit and mild complexity for a good price- not a particularly deep or exciting wine for the price I paid ($35) but simply a well-priced, well-balanced Pinot Noir.
Lots of strawberry, maybe redcurrant on the nose that really strikes a balance between tart and ripe- whichever you want to perceive at the time, you can almost switch between the two qualities. The strawberry meshes well with vanilla oak, giving it a berries-and-cream vibe- the oak almost showed as dark caramel after a while, which was tantastic. After more time the nose brought nice wet-stone minerality to the table, and small notes of mint, maybe even the beginnings of a gamey note (much more about the red berry fruit overall.)
Palate has at least medium acidity, not particularly electric but definitely enough energy, with beautifully hidden, silken tannins threading through tons of fresh strawberry and baking spice. Palate is much simpler than the nose (which is mostly fruit and oak so far too), but still beautiful.
Great stuff. Givry is getting more expensive, and I see the average price of this on wine-searcher is closer to $50- I think there's a lot of better Pinot Noir available for that price, but at least in the context of Burgundy, this was a solid $35 bottle.

Rebu en succ. Pour le prix, il y avait consensus avec les conseillés... trop cher pour ce genre de vin, pas méchant, loin de là, mais un peu dilué et mince, court en finale.

Not aging well. Fruit is bordering prunes and not red fruit and alcohol is much more noticeable.
