This was a fruit forward wine. The aromas were: red cherry, red currants and cassis. I got aromas of mocha, nutmeg and coconut husk.
The color was purple with a diminishing crimson to clear outer edge. Great legs with good viscosity.
The taste was of abundant red fruit, cherry, chocolate with subtle hints of white pepper. Medium tannin and medium acidity. The alcohol was none apparent, and the wine was nicely balanced.
This was a fine wine, well rounded and pleasing! This 2016 vintage is drinking so well right now. No need to age any longer. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Nice wine to start off the evening. Nice dark red, vivid, on the nose and palate pretty silky dark fruits, baking spices and crushed pebbles. Good acid and ripe tannins on medium long finish.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (EBCC): From magnum, popped and poured courtesy of R&D. Deep inky color. Cassis, vanilla, dark fruit and spice. From youthful tannins are fine-grained and balanced by the abundant black fruit.

Big wine = Definitely toasty oak. Blackberry and vanilla. warm plum and blueberry but a hint of terroir.
